Fuel issues taken care of and interior almost done. Just about time to run the valves, change the oil and get serious about some miles. Need to get the Speedo gears swapped because this thing like 70-80mph better than 55. Also got myself back on two wheels to try to get back into shape. First 7 mile ride in under 1/2 hour is a good start.

Stopped by the old diner when I was out putting no some more shakedown miles on today. Couldn’t help but to take a couple pictures. 43FDB678-CFF6-4C3A-9952-C62BCC94FEBE.jpeg 9DD27874-0CD4-4A2A-8402-6791107726D6.jpeg 4D3419E6-DB2B-4160-BAC2-0258402C528C.jpeg

A00F184D-F7CD-456D-B3A8-F79D0F765E29.jpeg Still time to stop out to the Gilmore Museum and say hi today if you’re around. Posters with a free chance to win this car are now available via Helpinghannahsheart.org or VintageTorquefest.com. I am still going to have some fun with it so you should get a car with a few miles but hopefully minimal headaches.

  9. Tried to purchase a poster but the web page appears to not be functioning or I am just computer illiterate that’s probably the case! Hobo Jim

If you copy and paste the link on the vintage Torquefest page it will get you there. Link not working right for some reason. Or VintageTorquefest.com/poster-and-raffle-entry/

Build em to drive rain or shine. A couple pics found on the social media sites from Friday’s 350 mile trip to Michigan. 1000 miles total in 4 days. Who says T buckets aren’t built for driving? 3B2A8137-5F94-418A-AD7F-353B42E195F9.png 43D4D712-D56E-4B14-89C4-107BE71C0A0E.jpeg

Hot dog, hot rods being driven in the rain! LOVE it when they're built to be used, and not swaddled in cotton quilted blankets whenever a cloud appears on the horizon!

Striegle said he thought he had it bad until he pulled up behind me in Kalamazoo. I was wet in places I didn't even know I had. Sure was a lot of people taking pictures of the idiot in the roadster going down the interstate in the rain. I thought about pulling over, but then thought "you can only get so wet" and soldiered on. Close to 75 miles in the pouring rain I would guess. It quit when I pulled in to the Gilmore for the show...

Reminds me of the guy my Dad and I passed on the Penssylvania Turnpike in January of 1981.... it was snowing to beat all hell, colder than a ditch digger's ass and this guy was plugging along on his motorcycle..... when ya gotta be somewhere, and the only transport ya got is a bike....

Axle seal fixed and back on the road to exterminate as many bugs as 500 miles would allow. Had to stop by Sam’s for supper. A little out of the way, but highway 2 is a more enjoyable drive than the interstate. They won’t decrease the bug population sitting in the garage ya gotta drive em 4EA9E543-C632-4157-A2B7-E6A025C6C282.jpeg 31049D49-AE96-4031-9D1D-5A05E58EA8B5.jpeg EA653F66-CDED-4437-A668-90A41163E1C0.jpeg 70DA37F1-DF81-4994-86AC-AAB5977179D6.jpeg B639D3FB-6F04-41DB-9822-8E18D3F262D1.jpeg 3D48B078-6431-4C36-B660-EE4DE4D056C5.jpeg

So you say you are too tall for an early T? This dude was 6’7” tall and would just need to put the length back on the column that I cut out. AA25D461-60DB-46E2-B8AF-4C8BC86AF85F.jpeg

Well you can all come see the Chari-T in Woodstock, Illinois at the Iron Invasion next weekend. It will likely be in one of the buildings since it is the giveaway car for the foundation putting on the show. See y'all there.

Work 8 1/2 hours then jump in a topless car and drive nearly 200 miles in 48 degree weather. That sounds fun. See ya at the Iron Invasion in Woodstock Illinois. F035D7AF-02F2-4EEF-BFC0-D5E95C0D9C7E.jpeg

Blasted out of iron invasion a little early yesterday. Beat the rain all the way home. Started to sprinkle the last 4 miles last night, and it’s been raining ever since. Glad I took off when I did. Sorry if I didn’t get a chance to talk to many people as I was busy as usual at these shows. 1517AA8C-DBF3-4D75-AF2D-E5CBD70DF18A.jpeg B7B9F58E-3607-466D-BB6A-066BA14A02E5.jpeg

  29. The car looks as good in person as it does on the webernets! It was nice talking with you at the hill climb. Such a neat build for a great cause!
