Here's a couple of shots of mine, it's a 30 and I used BLITZ black. My buddy called me to let me know the close up was used for the home page for the turkey run. Both of these shots were taken there last year

Cool Ride... Ive been undecided about Blitz Black.. I see some rides and they have a deep black tint with smooth texture..almost semi gloss... others that have a rough texture like a spray can primer.. and chalky like a spray can primer.. yet they were both applied with pro gear...

how do you go about keeping it looking so deep or.. what do you do to get it to look like that.

"Ol Red" my daily driver ... used to be my dad's truck.
He was on holidays in central Manitoba back in '76, paid $250 for it and drove it home to northern British Columbia (1500 miles) !!! I remember the morning he left with the box full of bags of potatoes ~ vegetables and parts for my '37 Ford coupe ... serious tail dragging goin on here, took him 4 days. Following year he bought a '51 chev truck for $150 and drove it home also ... my brother and I used to use it to haul our band gear back and forth to rehearsals and gigs. What a sight that was ... 2 long hairs flyin down the hi~way with the radio blastin and passing everything in sight.
Dad did a full resto on her in '83 and used to win lots of awards at shows and parades and even took her back to Manitoba a couple of times.
He passed it on to me in '97 and it sat in my carport for many years and then 4 years ago I got at it, dropped in a another 235~6 cyl mated to a turbo 350 and a Camaro rear, dual exhaust ~ fentons, dropped the suspension 4 1/2", etc. ~ etc ... I've done a ton of upgrades to the truck but have not bastardized it ... so for the die~hards it can be put back to original.
My Dad is now 85 years old and living back in Manitoba. 2 years ago I drove her back to visit him and the whole trip I was wondering what his reaction would be to all the changes that I had done. I remember the morning I drove up to his place and he was standing at the front window and as I walked up to the door I could see the ear to ear grin on his face and at that moment I knew that he approved.
That afternoon when we went for a cruise he was like a little kid on Christmas morning and when anybody would ask about the truck he'd be the first to give everyone the low~down.
Went back again last year and didn't have a single problem with her ... only blew about a quart and a half of oil on the whole trip !!! Out of all the vehicles I've owned, this has been the most reliable and the most fun ... every gas stop usually last's twice as long with a ton of stories and memories of their dad, grandpa, or uncle having one back on the farm ... to me that's what it's all about.
Got to give a big thank you to my buddies Bob and Rick for the use of their garages, tools, time ... and patience!!!

  17. '58 Chev. Was my daily driver for several yrs. in the '90's. Original 283-Granny gear- 4spd. Was a hippie bedroom at a Utah commune for many years. Had purple velour upolstery. Put in a new clutch disc, brakes and towed a trailer back to Chicago. NO rust. Painted it rattle-can grey primer with ivory accents. Fun, fun, fun.

Good night! thats some good work. I would of sworn it was a printed graphic!

Ive been looking for a good painter like that around here and only found one... he was kinda fruity though... couldnt believe I was going to paint he truck a flat or semi gloss.
