The finish color was much more orange, although the picture looks to have faded quite a bit. I wonder if the lack of respirator was simply "how it was done", or maybe indicates the picture was staged. Looks possibly to be actually spraying something . I didn't expect those cars to be painted at the very end when fully assembled, as possibly indicated by the vast amounts of masking tape and paper.
You were always supposed to wear some sort of respirator, although many of us didn't !! I remember spraying Candy Apple one night on my T Bucket. About 10 minutes after I finished the brake lights om the T started to flash on and off, although nobody else saw it !!!!
