portland - voodoo donut run this sunday the 7th

I'm planning on coming down to check out all your rides and to stuff my face with a portland cream and some Stumptown coffee. I'll be in my ugly white and primer 65 chevy pick up. I hope you guys don't mind a newbie busting in on your scene?

yeah, i'm not in a huge hurry. my car is spending these winter months in landon's shop too, so i mostly only take it out for the voodoo runs. this time next month though i'll have it back as my daily driver and i can meet up with you whenever. lame you can't make it out tomorrow.

That damn Dodge and I got in a little fight with a pressure washer. Long story short she is in for a repaint. Drivin my not so road worthy T-bird. I'll have to pass this month.

 

^ ah yes. those trucks seem to have weak clear/paint. i can only imagine what a pressure washer would do..

 

It was rad ! I couldn't stop, it just kept blowin off . I felt sick afterwards

 

if you're taking suggestions:heavy heavy flake gold or green..

 

On the Dodge? Na man stock blue on that gem. It did give me a chance to ditch the emblems and big ass stock mirrors. As for the Chev its goin Green on green two tone stock for 53 cars.

how long do you guys hang out?

 

usually between 2 and 3 hours or so. then the core group or groups break off and go there own way.

 

Man, you gotta get there early to get a parking spot. I was there at 10:00 and the place was full.

Was a fun time for sure! I'll post some pics as well.

 

It was fun I pulled in in my 60merc a little after 10am and the place was packed. Lots of nice people to talk to.

 

Anpther good meet! some nice cars. great turn-out. I finally got to meet "52 chevy deluxe" clayton was there with his out-standing "T" fired it up old school style, with the crank and everything! just a SUPER_COOL no cost meet. make sure to buy some donuts though!

 

thanks to everyone who came out, it was a blast. i was a little worried about the turnout due to the super bowl and everything. the turnout was great-a full lot and cars lined down both sides of the street by about 10:30. very cool.
nice to meet some of you new guys and to see a whole new fresh batch of cars too. there were a lot of cars there i had never seen before, and some really really nice ones.
