Disregarding purchase price, if they were the same, which would you choose and why?

  2. As a Ford owner, I would choose the Ford. But that’s not to say that the Willys wouldn’t be a good idea.

I've had several 40-41 Ford pickup projects, and now the Willys, I have my thoughts and reservations about both, just would like to hear what other thoughts are out there.

More room for me in the Ford. Willys are a tight fit, even with the no firewall set back.

The Ford looks better with thier curvy fenders. They're easier to find parts for because more of them were made. It will be easier to sell because more people know what a Ford is. I think Fords were made better. Willys is another name for Johnsons.

I'm building a Willy's pick-up right now. I like the looks of them better and you just don't see them to often at car shows. 14894509641931588976588.jpg

  7. The Ford for sure. As mentioned, an easier sell down the road and just more desirable IMHO. I think you'll see that as this poll gets more responses.:)

Dang, that's a tuff one. Never played "would you rather" with 40 Ford or Willys pick up. As cool as Willy's are I think I would have to go with Ford.

I own a 38 willys pickup and with what parts and info are like to find I kind of wish I'd waited to find a ford which is the truck I always wanted. But here in the U.K. Neither come up very often so beggars can't be choosers

Willys is about the size of a 4 inch chopped ford. My buddy just brought one home and I couldn’t believe that was the factory roof line. Don’t think I could even sit it with the seat installed

Willys would be my pick. I just like them. As far as parts availability Etc. the Ford would be more practical.

At 6'4" my 40 PU was tight. Worked on a 40 Willys PU, could hardly drive it, couldn't live with it. How big are you?

    1940-41 Ford truck for sure.

Willy coupes are awesome but the trucks look clumsy and awkward.

I would go Willys, you simply don't see them very often and they just have a unique look.

  20. I wouldn't kick either one out of the garage..but prefer the Ford.
The Willys look incredible as a drag car/pickup..but I.m not going drag racing any time soon.

I've had both.....much easier to find parts for a Ford.....and the Willys is really small., for one of average size. But depends what your mission is.

Well yes, they are small. 10" shorter wheelbase than the Ford. I'm not tall so it would be fine.
I wonder the results between a 40 ford coupe vs the 40-41 willys coupe.

Looks like in your signature you already have a Willy's P/U? I don't understand the thread. Get rid of the Willy's and you will regret it 4 ever. If your tiered of it I have a grand kid you can have...............................................

Yes, I have one. I was just curious what the HAMB would choose/say about the two, they are both favorites of mine.
    Its not for sale!

Ford pickup. Beautiful trucks. Willis are ugly, and only look good as drag cars.

Ford, worth more in the end. From our experience odd ball stuff does not sell well.
