Technical polished aluminum preservation ?

i am a lazy bugger...i wanted the polished alloy look but realised it would be a never ending job keeping them shiny.......
so what i did to my rocker covers was sand them smooth almost to the polished state and then had them ceramic coated...came up just like polished alloy but no ongoing maintanence
