I'd call it filling holes rather than plug welds but none the less should look nice when you're done.

Are you going to make small filler pieces for the larger ones or just weld using brass behind the holes?

x2 I'm no expert but plug welding as I know it is different than this

  9. Welding is the easy part. When the grinding, priming, sanding, finishing is done you can pat yourself on the back.

If your pieces fit pretty tight you can use tape to hold them in then take a hammer and dolly and swell the plug then its lined up flush all the way around and will stay in there

like with those holes in the firewall you can swell that plug then keep hammering to stretch the plug and firewall this way when your done welding it has shrunk down flat no more finishing i call it dialing in the shrink you don't have to do it with tig

Done it, worth it, even though it's a temporary spraybomb job.

Doing that on my old F1 right now. It looks like someone took a machine gun to the firewall. I hope its worth the work.
