That looks awesome man! I was always amazed as to how many blower cars were running around in Sierra Vista

  3. You know what I'm going to be the odd man out and say leave the quarters like they are. They are different and for that reason I dig them. They grow on you. The front fenders could go both ways. They look fine now. Cut them and I think the car will take on an even meaner race car look. I say cut them.

Yup...but they never had to drive these things on the highway, either. There are a few trade offs.

Suppose you've got Tarantula traps spread around (AZ!) to keep 'em out of the paint?

If the car goes half as fast as you work, it will be done by the time I post this. Looks great.

Thanks! the tarantulas come out in August. Surprisingly there weren't any flies in the shop this morning. usual collection of dirt, orange peel, etc but I'm still looking for the first run.

And may be considering wheelie bars before the second.

Ahh, paint runs, read too fast. Still might start seeing a lot of stars when you hit the go pedal though.

Thanks! Time to work on the fenders, get all the windows cut and installed, etc. One of these days, it'll be finished.

VERY COOL car, I dig those rear wheel wells, they didn't have time to mess with shit like that back then! "Standin it up", that's ALL that matters !!! Chris

Man that's really coming out good. You do nice (& prompt) work Squirrel. I vote to lop the front fenders & go bumperless for that mean (& lighter) look. Great build.

Yeah, I cut them. We'll see how it looks, I think it will be fine. Getting ready to spray them red.

Squirrel, on the plexiglass, fully tape both sides before cutting. No scratches that way. (you probably already knew this trick)

Another trick is too use double-side tape and tape the original glass to the plexiglass , use a band saw to rough cut them in, than use a belt sander to finish them to size.

Thanks for the tips, we'll see how it works out. It's warm out, around 100. Went for a drive, filled the tank, put another 30 miles on the car in mid day heat. No problems. I'm Jonesing to hit the highway with this thing, just to see how it does.

I need to get some skinny wheels, and some good old fashioned tires. I gotta save up some bucks first, the "fun" account is pretty well depleted at this piont.

Front fenders have a "mean business" look to them! Like it.

I ordered my plexi window pre cut for my 31 sedan, front windows were less than $100 shipped, fit perfect
