I've been doing a little research on striping and am really interested in learning. -Are there seminars that you can attend to start you off on the right foot? -Anyone have any reccomendations on good websites?
I think John Hannukaine was doing classes at one point,he up in your area somewhere. His book is the only one worth buying on pinstriping.Check the TechOmatic for lots more info.
I would not reccomend classes, pick up "pinstriping and vehicle graphics" by John Hannukaine. It will tell you what supplies you need, and the techniques you need to know. then practice practice practice, and experiment until you get it right, remember that pinstriping is not an exact art, and any mistake you made can be fixed with a little denatured alcohol. Hang out with the stripers at car shows ask questions. I know I would not hesitate to answer any, striping is a dying art and we want to keep it alive, follow my instructions, and try no to take pinstriping to seriously (because then it stops being fun)
