On Sept.12 we're having our White Hall DRAG-O-WAY reunion celebrating the 50th anniv. of it's beginning and this is just one of many hi-zoot giveaway, auction and raffle items. I swear I'm not soliciting here, just filling in the blanks! We still have to color the lights and put the upholstery in. The seat will have our logo stiched into it. We also have another '55 that's pretty much stock, that I built a hitch for to tow this one, they're going to be raffled off as a set. Does it pass inspection?
That is cool! Nice work. Sure as shit the youngin that gets it will want to trade it in for a barbie corvette.
I want one for my little boy that thing is freakin awesome!!! Now it looks as though i may have to ask you what you used to build it and is it still a functioning pedal car?
I hope it brings some decent geet, we give most of all the money we generate to local charities, the rest we put back into the next yrs. reunion. It's still a 'pedal' car, wlded spiders! These new things aren't much of an actual pedal car...faaalimsy! There's not really much to building it, look closely and most of it explains itself. The banker next door thinks we need to go into 'production'!
Can you send me some detail pics of the car? Where did you get the tires and wheels for the rear and did you make the tank for the frontend or was it a bought piece from somewhere?
Here's an early shot, I will have to be home to post more detailed ones. The wheels/tires are swap meeters, I think they're racing kart fronts. The tank is aluminum tubing, capped and ground, the filler cap id two sizes of aluminum rod cut down. Most of it is just imagination and common sense. I need to be clear that this is a group project, no just me! I won't take credit I'm not due! Those injectors are 9/16 sockets...one of my ideas that got shot down! CRAP! The trickiest part is the hub adapters, really simple once we got them done!
Well it's official i am gonna build one myself now!!!! That thing is too cool and my boy is gonna love it.
Now how could I resist??-haha!! I think my son's Temper Tantrum is a click faster than my daughters Lil' Gasser. Keep on buildin 'em boys!
Good luck with raising the cash for those who need it. This one was from the Panel Jam put on by Artie Schilling at the Syracuse Nationals.
