It would be fun to see this run.....don't usually see a 58 with the front wheels in the air!

  4. It certainly has some big meats in the rear.

    hello,
i used to own a 58 black impala. the above photo of max millers impala reminds me of the time we saw this car in person. it was usually in the local car shows, but it was pretty amazing up close. my black impala was stock with red interior that had sure-fit seat covers on it from 59 to 65. when i sold it to a friend, he thought i reupholstered the whole interior. i do not know what happened to that black impala, but it would be fun to find out. it was my car when the video shows black rims. then after that episode, i got a set of 5 buick wire wheels for that cool custom look. (until some idiot stole the car just for the rims.)
    thanks,
    jnaki

    hello,
that yard find black impala didn't have red interior, did it? also, the rear antenna shaved off?
i accidently backed up into a military transport truck in a heavy fog in front of my house in long beach. the neighbor was a truck guy and parked it in the street. i had the antenna removed and the dent in the rear fender above the taillights "leaded" in the old style bodywork.
    thanks,

    hello,
this clip shows one of the fastest biscaynes at lions dragstrip back in the days. 58-60. he beat the 59 and 60 bigger motor cars easily. plus, he had a cool paint job. i think he went on to be a name in the gasser ranks later on in the late 60's-70's. those were fun times and these biscaynes and impalas looked cool and some were very fast. even on the street.
    thanks,
    jnaki

    hello,
in 1958, we bought another red taillight lens and replaced the white back up light in the center of the three impala rear light set up. we rewired it so all red lights came on with the headlights and when the brakes were on, the 3 lights came on instantly. to be legal, we installed a small white light near the license plate that came on when backing up. we never got stopped for this 3 red light set up. for the straight, truck mufflers, yes, but not the lights.
