Photos of cars you wish you never sold

  1. Dude....what part of staying on topic is so hard for all you guys? This is the kind of stuff that will shut this thread down.

  2. My college car, 327 with t-10 4 speed, sold for about $200 in '72 to buy a washer and dryer. [IMG]

I think my dad sold this when I was in VietNam about '69, don't really remember.

High school car, I think I gave the body and fenders to a friend in '66; the 327 engine and trans went into the '57 in '65, I only kept the frame.

Too many to list. But these two have to be at the top of the list.

Traded a 15000 mile '57 Belaire HT ( true little old lady car) for this in the late 60's. Built 8ba hooked to a muncie 4 spd. My young and dumb ass yanked the flattie and was in the process of dropping in a 389 with 4 spd Hydro when life happened ( literally-new baby) and sold it. Dammitall!

My 1963 Dodge Polara 500 2 Door Hardtop with a built 440, 4 speed, and 4 wheel wilwood disc brakes...it may not have looked like much but it was fast as hell! And yes, that sign in front of the car says "Daily Driver"...I drove this car every day just like this for over a year...

This one... My daily driver back in the late eighties.

After an engine-swap to a sbc + th400 and a '55 rearend I got tired and sold it.
Then it went thru some different phases including a chop and a '59 dashboard :

Have no idea where it went. I would be curious to know whatever happened to it.

My 1962 catalina 425a car. Bought it as a basket case. Has the original drivetrain 389cuin 348hp t10 4sp and 3:90 gears. With tri-tone interior. should have never sold this car. Had to sell for financial reasons.Should have stuck it out.

I sold my '36 in 2006 (292" blown flathead, T5, 8") for the right reason, to fund the next project.

...but the next project was kinda disappointing, and the '36 suffered an awful fate at the hands of a subsequent owner. If I hadn't sold it, I would have had to re-write a lot of my history, but it might have turned out more satisfactorily all around.

I have a 67 Coronet 440 hdtp that I need to make progress on, the 383 is bored and the floorpans need doing, but other than that, it's nice. I had a dark metallic blue on I really liked 20 plus years ago. The lines just fazed me. The one I have now is gold, but copper seems the way.

  24. Okay, I'll play. My first car was the '29 A coupe. I hope someone hotrodded the snot out of it after it left my hands. The '64 Barracuda was just the second car and I should never have sold it, either. The '64 XKE, well, I hope that damned car got crushed and made into a diaper pail.
