Tough to do on a street car. As you can see they take up a lot of room. You'd have to be sitting in the back seat like the Orange Crate. Since they are direct drive off the crank, they aren't really de-tunable for a street car.

Yes, Tom Cobb ran it in the old Pierson Bros. coupe (not the SoCal Sp, I think that Jim Travis, the guy who restored the "Challenger," ran the SoCal car before restoration).....Cobb painted the old Pierson car red and yellow, and, if memory serves me, turned over 190 with this engine at Bonneville.....I think it was found in a garage recently...

The Potvin Front Mounted Blower was NOT a Centrifugal Blower, it was a GMC Rootes style blower that was directly driven from the crank.

Didnt know this got brought back up in November...I know the OLD set up was a roots, but the outlaw 10.5 guys etc are running crank driven centrifugal now, my comment stated I wonder how similar the drives are... thanks for the exploded view...I also bought a diesel fresh 6-71 last fall...Once the shop is set up, I will be mocking it up....

  24. Damn, I love that injector set-up. Looks like one bank of a V8 system.
