4 PNB, you forgot "THE" Lil' Deuce Coupe. [IMG]

In the 60's everyone bought new Chevys and went racing. [IMG]
The rods that survived did it on the show circuit. [IMG]

Well I guess there was the Jack also, but it crashed on Deadman's Curve. Hey does anyone remember who did that song?

Sorry no pics, but think chrome and cal custom.

Pete Paulson put it this way and it pretty well sums it up. In the 60s the economy was good so rodders were spending money on things like wheels...
What was done in satin was finished in gloss (candy and flakes), what was painted on the mill was chromed, and painted steelies gave way to chrome reverse and magnesium. Interiors got smaller pleats, and or different colored inserts, and blankets were a thing of the past.
Everything (including mom's sedan) got gauges many hung on little chrome panels under the dash. And by the mid '60s cars had sterophonic sound.
wow just put me in a time machine, I'm a kid again. [IMG]

There's a book by Andy Southard,Jr. Called "Hot Rods & Customs of the 1960s" It as just about all of the most famous ones from the era. He's a former photographer R&C. Check it out it has ton's of color pics. KK
