Technical Pertronix D104600 requires an external coil?

I'm looking at a Pertronix Flame Thrower distributor, P/N D104600 and was wondering if it requires an external coil. Any help is appreciated!

 

Thats the "stock Look" distributor, Yes external coil

 

Thanks, I wasn't sure. Now is that a round type coil? I see Pertronix has them too. Also looking at Moroso wires that have the points-distributor ends on them, I wasn't sure if HEI style would fit the cap towers that well.

 

Yes round, I've been using one for about three years with no problem other than the tach now reads about 400 RPM's lower than it should.
