daily driver. originally sold to TX Highway Dept. on dec 22nd 1958 at the Chevy dealer a few blocks from my house. using it to haul parts & cars, and as mobile shop. gonna pick up some model T stuff tomorrow, I can fit the frame inside my truck (I've posted pics of my truck before, but hey, if the thread is called "panel trucks", waddayado?)
Here is my 52 Chevy panel. She's bone stock down to the 216 babbit pounder. I installed Langdon's mini HEI and it made all the difference in the world. When it gives up the ghost (it may never at this point) I'll hunt for a 292 six!
I miss my 63 dodge... I have been looking for sometime for another one... mine went to PA and then FL have not been able to find it!
This was my good friends 59 Ford panel.its been sold and shipped off to Finland for a around a year now,but I sure wish I could've snagged it first.
Heres a couple I have for sale; '55 Chevy Panel and a '48 Chevy Sedan Delivery which I know isn't a true panel but could be cool anyway!
this is mine , its a 38 chevy but turned into a panel in Antwerp Belgium it is a one of a kind , it was for a bakery in Liege Belgium , around year 2000 some one found it in a barn behind the bakery (that was closed long before that), he sold it to a guy in the north of the Netherlands and 2 years back I bought it ,I live 20 miles from Liege in the Nehterlands. Because I dont have the time to finish it it is for sale . I have better pics I will look for them
I love panel trucks, I posted my old 36 humpback panel truck early in this thread. I have this 47 dodge panel truck and after seeing this ford COE panel truck(below) at the LARS I plan to build my dodge like it Ron... 47 dodge panel: with this nose: to look something like this:
I'm diggin' the shit out of this orange panel. That's a tough ride. I've always liked Sedan Deliveries and I actually think that it's pretty cool that Chevrolet released them again in that HHR series of small SUV's. Anyway, I once saw a late '30's sedan delivery a long time ago that had painted on the side "DELIVER US FROM EVIL". Now that's gotta be one of the best names EVER for a panel!

Here is apic of our F-1. I got it from another HAMBer. I am building it as a wheelchair accessible ride for my son, [The Goon] here on the HAMB. The second pic shows a logo he made so we can put on the side. We want to build it similar to Kripfinks ride.
I had this one for a very short time about 8 years ago. It was built by Tom Jones in Madison, WI. '41 Chevy conventional Panel body and a COE front clip. Everything lined up perfectly. I'm surprised more haven't been built over the years. It was sold to Coker Tire, but I believe they have sold it. Yes, I have a thing for yellow! ! ! !
We just drug this beast 280 miles to bring `er on home - 1958 Apache with a Powerpak 283, 3 on the tree. No rust in most the usual spots (eyebrows, rear apron etc.), body needs very little to be perfect. Rear end is ridiculous - top speed is 50 mph. Going to put either a Powerglide or a 700R4 in it to bump it up to highway speeds, trying to decide if I should stay period or not. Yall wont be able to recognise her in a few months, I promise it...
ONE back door is Sedan Delivery, based on Passenger Car chassis and sheet metal. TWO back doors is Panel Delivery or Panel Truck.
I just made a deal with a friend for a 1957 Chevy 1/2 ton panel. It was a shinners truck and had a vette 327 with hump heads and about a mile of copper line running under it. It was stored inside and has little or no rust and the body is in real good shape. The motor is now resting in a 66 4x4 truck. I plan to put a 1957 235 with 3 speed on the tree in it as it was part of the deal. No photos now but they will be comming soon. The best part of it the little ladies are as proud as I am and want it home. I've gotten out of vw's and into the real steal of a Chevy and if feels good.
The BIG panels are the wildest and craziest and rarest too, from Model As to early 50's Chevrolets. One ton and up and wheelbases up to 151" or so.
