    Hey guys,

I just finished painting my car at home. This was a first to paint a whole car. I flaked the roof a while ago (also a first) and now shot primer/sealer, color and satin clear. Then my friend ran a few lines. I still need to put all the trim, grill and bumpers back, and finish up the interior. Clearly this isn't a show car, nor is it in the same league as some of you, but some might enjoy.

Here are a couple before and after shots.

    Hope you dig'em!
    Carl

Well that's just fun! I hope those carbs all came from a 216 and match. Great car, glad you kept the 235 six!

With one eye shut, at 40 miles an hour, on horseback, in the moonlight, it looks really good. :D

It looks nice. Good job for your first. I also like the color choices.

Thanks everyone, it's far from perfect, but I'm pleased.

Lol Shift Wizard - That's exactly what I was thinking!
Surfcityrocker, that's a good idea - I'll get on it.
Baumi, I'll post more when the trim is back on.

Awesome on quit the tease shots . We need to see more of your cool fun ride. Well done man. if you are up to posing teaser pics we know the whole package is worthy.
Really dig the pinstriping though . We can see the detail you are bringing through.
Blow off the satin knockers and the original 6 knockers . While you write the checks and its in your garage you call the shots. End of story.
    Way cool.

Shoot, I spray bombed this roof and had a blast doing it. That is the whole point; isn't it?

  28. Looks good, nice striping too. That's what I should have done with my shoebox, instead of sentencing it to hard time in paint shop jail... 16 months (so far) for vagrancy.

What a difference, that looks nice indeed. My first paint job involved a brush and heated enamel, amazing what you can do when you haven't a clue. Maybe that should be on a T shirt, maybe not. Keep at it, I think there is talent there.
