I had originally wanted to go with silver flake/aqua roof but now I'm thinking that's too mild. What colors go with a teal interior? I was thing along the lines of something like this...

    Paint scheme on WHAT?????

Teal usually looks good with teal. Right now there is a nissan maxima teal colour on the 2004's(i think) that is a really hip color. And white, black and dark blue. But you cannot do dark blue exterior, and teal interior without teal on the exterior. You coul always be a cheesedick 80's nostalgia rodder and go with a gumby green with pepto bismo scalloped paint job.

Here is a close up of Scott Craigs panhead. He painted it, I pinstriped it. This is what I am talking about above.

  4. 1. What the hell are you painting?
    2. I hope you have a lot of money and a talented painter who you're working with. If you'd like to see what happens w/ panel jobs gone awry, ask Marcus for a pic. of his brother's T-bird.
    3. Harpoon, you crack me up.
    4. What, exactly is wrong w/ mild? God forbid someone builds a tasteful kustom. Don't get me wrong, I really dig wild paint jobs...but a clean car w/ good lines, good body work, and mild colors isn't a bad thing. Subtle can be and always will be cool. Here's a good example:

ok i do this shit in my sleep so it's a no brainer in about 6 ways....ken....
first i have to agree with the old harper on that stock nissan color. it's a nice color and i don't like teal so that says a bit. on the same subject looks like you've got a ways to go before your worried about paint color so spend some time looking at colors from new cars. they are wild and nice these days. alot them are being mixed by a coupla of the famous painters throughout time. it's real nice to have a color color and to have it easy to match for touch ups or god forbid an accident. there's alot of things to consider. you want ot do 'flake on the whole car. hope you've got a nice bank account. use one of the newer colors for the body and just flake the roof and maybe some scallops. for your car i'd say use the less is more approach. here's some:
    1) the nissan color mentioned above is nice but, there is a kia color that is a nice ice slightly teal blue metallic that is really a good color. that would be great for the body. you could even play some tricks with a little pearl accent fades on body lines if you wanted to. done with the body. seriously. roof i'd say take your pic of the many nice pearl whites. i'd say go for something a little off white to creme like the early 200's lexus or something. buried under abalone flake. now you could do some thin bordering type scallops on the roof to draw your eye to it and away from the fact that its a moreport( nothing personal i'm building a '55 plymouth moredoor for the wife). hell in fact you could go crazy but i would keep it subtle. whatever color you use to stripe the scallops do some vvvveeerrrry mild striping on the hood and deck to match. DONE. oh yeah for these scallops they could be body color or a third flowing color with or without a shit load of flake.
i type slow and it sucks so i leave you with that one and hopefully a pic of ken reason's mopar to to show it's easy to mix blues...ken....

    thats an early pic...
here's a later one. it was features in rod n custom a few years ago and if you go back and look at the pics the roof is scalloped like i'm talking about. panel paint is awesome but i think panel painting a 4 door draws to much attention to the body. if anything do the body in a solid metallic and panel the roof...ken....

I took it at Back to the Beach in 2000. One of my all time favourite cars.
