just drive to the dmv with your proof of insurance and current tag receipt. no need for a title . they will inspect the vin to insure it matches the tag receipt and issue you a tag as well as Florida Title.

I got a Florida Collectors plate for my 66 as it was good for 5 years.
    Regards,

If you're in a Title state & have a Title, no problem.

Make sure the numbers are accessible to view, look to make sure or you may have problems. They have to see the vehicle. A police officer will come to your home if not running. They will accept a statement from your state if you have Florida form filled out and signed by your local officials.

I was a dealer in Florida a few years back. Just bring your paperwork and car with you. They are one of the easiest states on car requirements. Insurance is way cheap also.
