OT: Anyone else remember Alaska Junk in Spokane?

We were noodling over a problem at work to dealing with large power circuits and I said I bet Alaska Junk would have had a piece of military gear that we could cannibalize, if they were still around. The guy I was working with lit up with the mere mention.

Alaska Junk was a land of possibilities with all kinds of surplus military gear of all kinds and just "stuff". I bought a roll of carpeting for my Olds F85 that I had at the time for just a couple bucks. I got more complements on that rug.

Anyone else have any stories of Alaska Junk finds?

 

I remember the big rocket or missle sign. Wonder where that is now.

 

May be its a cockpit and a cadillac engine by now ;-)
