Reminds me of an Aunt of mine-- I think one of the best parts of the interview was her last statement. "People tell me 'I used to have a 57 Chevy and I wish I had kept it' -- 'well, why didn't they?'" Sassy old broad.
When I went to pick up the 56 Chrysler Windsor. This fellow had a 1 owner 57 chevy convertible in his shop.He was nice enough to uncover and let me take a picture of it. Bruce.
i think changing the oil every 1000 miles is a bit excessive, but hey---if it works for her....... Is it the original engine?
The most amazing part to me is that she only put 116000 miles on it in 60 years. How could someone own a car that long and not need to use it more than that ?
Cool little old lady! The low milers are out there... I bought my 62 Impala in 1996 as my first old car with just under 16000 original miles... I´ve added only 8000 miles in 21 years.Back then I couldn´t bring myself to drive this car daily, now I´m glad I didn´t. Beaters are more fun.
Bruce - it's green, right? Inside lighting throws me off but I don't recognize that shade of factory. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
No seat belt. Who's gonna tell her? Not me! Nicely optioned Bel Air. Black, all black, with a red interior. Backup lights, bumper bullets & guards, dual mirrors, door edge guards, pushbutton radio, turboglide, power pack (duals). Bruce - is that car a survivor? It looks new. 1st 'vert I've ever seen without bullets.
fourspeedwagon, it looked like a light green yes.I thought it was a funky color but the car sure was nice.Bruce.
chevy 57dude if you are taking about the rubber bullets in the front bumper my brother had a 57 convertible and his didn't have them either.Bruce.
Guilty! I had a black 2 door HT. Red int. Factory 270hp 3 on the tree. Its the car I taught my wife to drive in . S0 being the dumb ass that I am I sold it to buy a 67 GTO.
