While going through photos taken at various Indy events I came across this car. I believe
it was shot at Good Guys in 1993. Imagine my surprise when I saw the same car at Byron
in 2016 looking pretty darn similar with a few obvious changes

Funny to see this car here, it was just posted earlier on a facebook group.
There is a lot going on there, but the sideview ... I dunno, like the frame is to short for the body.
The Rear end needs to be moved back. Sure is a lot of cool pieces there.

I don't know the full story; car belonged to Mike Strusinzki, Twin Cities area. Mike raced around the Midwest with the OFTA, old farts timing association..this picture is from Flathead/Inliners meet at Bandimiere raceway about 1993? Mike died too young, and I had not seen the car in years. I was very pleased to see it racing again this year at the Meltdown. Hats off to the new owner for continuing the racing heritage! Here's another time lapse situation. The old Instamatic shot was taken at the Amphitheater in Chicago
in 1971. The second photo was shot at the Meltdown in 2016. I was (figuratively) knocked out when I
    saw it.

Another pair of pics. Chris Karamasines' "ChiZler". First, at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago in September of 1969 , then at the 2016 Meltdown.

As I study the two photos I see minor differences. The later photo has a two tone painted scoop and
a small windscreen for the driver, and is that the fuel filler above "ChiZler"? It's always been a hell
    of a car.

  17. I saw the differences on it. The outline of the lettering appears white on the newer photo but a "cream" color prior. Especially when compared to the white headers.

I was actually asking about the White's Pit Stop car.... ;)

Sorry about that. I have no idea about the White's car. I never saw it again after the car show until
last year. There was a couple in the trailer that I had questions for but they were so deep in conversation
I wasn't going to break in.

The rear was moved forward to change the front to rear weight bias and enhance traction. On this car it would have probably made it into an altered on a latter car (think @squirrel here) it would have considered to be an altered wheelbase car.

Some guys take a different route and move the engine back into the firewall/seating area.

Going back in time again. This Plymouth is pictured first in 1994 at US 41 Dragway in Morocco, Indiana, and then again at the Meltdown in 2017.
