Olds valve covers

    HI, Can someone give me a little history about Edelbrock valve covers(finned) that has 57 cast under Edelbrock? THANKS

    There was a thread on just that feature, maybe 8 months ago?

    I will check around tonight when I have time, as a hamber that does not post much, pm'ed me some info. Maybe I still have the pm.

    What little I do know, is the earlier covers they made, would not fit on the 57 371. That is because in 57, Olds put a tiny helper rocker stand on each end of the shafts. So, the new cover needed to clear those.

    I have only seen one set in person, and he bought his new, back then. He knew of others back then he said. They are cool looking and I never knew about them till that day, when I looked at his car in the garage. I even thought the "57" was glued on:eek:
