Anyone who has followed the Old Rusty saga will know I have always had a problem with overheating. Drive fast or far and it gets too hot.
Well, I bought a Mustang rad when I was in the States this summer, and jsut finished adapting it to the 4 hose configuration for my flathead.
    Wow!
I just came back from the first test drive with the new rad. It's fantastic! I fitted new 160 degree thermostats and the temp gauge settles right around the 160 mark, and even below sometimes. On the same journey with the old rad it would be up 210-230 degrees! wish I had not been such a tight bastard and bought a new one when I built it!
Wanted to make sure it's running right before I lay it up for the winter.
If all goes to plan I should bring the new truck home tomorrow.
    Mart.
