I've enjoyed reading stuff on here for about the last 10 years. I joined 8 years ago but have never posted. I bought a nice rust free Arizona 3W Coupe last summer and started building a chassis for it last fall. I thought about starting a build thread but this is it for now.
WoW, nice frame. For me a full fender '32 3window with a small block Chevy is the epitome of a hot rod, but I see you are going a different way. Don't you put cowl steering on it (PWood). It's looking great.
I'll try to make this more of an intro . I grew up around cars. My Dad has a 38 Chevy sedan we went to rod runs and Nationals for several years in the 80's. My first car was a 65 Barracuda I bought when I was 16 in 1982. When I was 18 I built a 1937 Ford coupe for a guy in 1984-85. Built a 1932 Ford sedan in 1985-88 for another guy. That's how it started and haven't stopped since. Most of it has been fabrication for other people. A lot of that work helped support a drag racing habit for several years. I got a rough 1941 Studebaker coupe for high school graduation and put that together and drove on the street unfinished for several years. In 1990 I tore it apart and built a tube chassis for it to nostalgia and bracket race. It went 9.40's @ 145. Around 2006 built a funny car chassis and put a Bantam body on it to nostalgia race and eventually raced with the Nostalgia Drag Racing Ass. for about 4 years. It ended up running 7.04 at 196 with a blown BBC until we ran out of money. I was ready to sell the house but everyone in the family was not in agreement. Most recently built a 1936 Ford Roadster for a friend. He, myself and a couple other guys drove to the Roadster Show from Ill. last year. I drove a friend's 5 W coupe . After that trip I decided one way or another I was going to build the 32 coupe that I started collecting parts for 15 yrs ago. View attachment 3910839
