Regarding Nates - I remember that place too back in the late 60's & early 70's. Whatever happened to Nates? To the old building?

The wrecker in this photo is still about 5 to 10 minutes from showing up.

 

My wife went and surprised me and had all the old black and white photos from my dad's shop in th '40s blown up and framed and hung in my shop office. It was the coolest thing ever. I couldn't speak when I walked in and saw my dad (who had just recently passed) in his prime hanging over the sofa. She says go to Kinko's to get the big ones done right.

You know...none of these things have that 'vulture' mystique that the modern ones waiting on the highways have. They look like hard working vehicles.
