Yes, it does. But so many other parts don't match.

Rather comical that someone would post an add that say for 300 bucks you can dig this hulk out of the woods where it has sat for the last 60 years but it does look pretty solid an it does appear to have a frame. Honesty I have paid more for less and if you aren't hung up on brands and are willing to hunt down the missing pieces 300 isn't a whole lot for the start of a hot rod project.

Something written on the block, can't make it out. And behind the rusted side cover, honeycomb something, or a nest?

  19. Was my thought too. The firewall looks similar, and one model had dual cowl vents, but I can't find an exact match.
Those curved A pillars are throwing me off.

If you have an idea what it might be, use google images search to look at the car you suspect. Compare lots of things about the car--especially the belt line contour.

I've looked at lots of pictures of Essex and Hupmobile (and many others) and haven't found a match.

Like I said earlier, it's a good one!

The '30 model C had dual vents, but all the pics I can see show a fairly distinct peak to the cowl and visor.

that's one I forgot to look for....good catch

looks to be a 1930 Reo. There were some with vents on the top of the cowl, others with them on the side. But the fireall, dash, beltline, etc all match.
