    Same thing for bread milk and eggs, etc. Adjusted for inflation, they probably cost about the same today.

    They were in the back of Hot Rod magazine up through the mid 60's I don't know exactly when they quit taking classifieds like that. You have to remember that most guys were making less than 2.00 and hour back then though and minimum wage was 1.00. My ex step father was a construction superintendent who ran big commercial construction jobs and he made 3.50 at the time which was hell for good money.
