A number of years ago a friend of mine bought a "car bar" at the Iola car show. It fit in the trunk and had an electric pump with hoses that fit into the booze bottles. A set of spigots with push buttons above each one, (I think there were 4 of them), mounted under the dash. You pushed the button over your favorite liquor and the pump pumped it into your glass. Since there were no booze bottles in the passenger compartment it was semi legal. The funny part was no one in his family, including him drank.

just look in an old J.C. Whitney & Co Catalog - there have been threads on this subject that would be worth searching for

  6. The title for this thread describes every extreme custom I've ever seen. IMHO:)

Never saw a real Hot Rod with any JC Whitney crap on it. That garbage is more likely to be found on Tiajuana taxi cabs not performance cars.

  10. Hey guys didn't someone have a thread for rear view mirror muffs, that's frickin' oddball!
When I got my shoebox my bro gave me a set of tin meal trays(kinda' like car hop trays but smaller) that hang on the inside of the door in the window channel, complete with the box they were sold in.

Here's a selection of old ads I just found in some old Hot Rod ,and others, magazines...take a look down through them ,people say that real Hot Rods or Customs don't have or didn't have JC Whitney crap on them ..look a bit closer there were more parts from them and the others on more cars than you would think. Back in the day there were not many one stop shop auto supply houses around so you didn't have a alot of choice, also the quality of most stuff wasn't that bad they were able to buy in bulk so they got better prices so they could pass it on to the buyers. Of course like everything does, even today's suppliers, they started buying stuff that was manufactured out of the country, for less, then the buyers paid less but usually the quality was less so some of these discount suppliers started getting a bad name but they were always a good source for them gagit parts that some people go for and still do. 20190613_001636(0).jpeg 20190613_001604.jpeg 20190613_001541.jpeg 20190613_001256.jpeg 20190613_001126.jpeg 20190613_001111.jpeg 20190613_000953.jpeg 20190613_000637.jpeg 20190613_000554(0).jpeg 20190613_000518.jpeg 20190613_000124(0).jpeg 20190613_000107.jpeg 20190612_235819.jpeg 20190612_235748.jpeg 20190612_235320.jpeg 20190612_235255.jpeg 20190612_235125.jpeg
