O/T....Ridiculous Gas Station names...show yours

Don't have a picture but there is a store in Beacher,IL named;
Beacher Meat and Liquor.

 

whenever I am back east in the philly area I always have to get some Tasty
cakes from the local WAWA.

 

There used to be a tool place called Dick Power Enterprises near Webster, they unfortunately abbreviated to D.P Enterprises, what a fucking shame.

 

in Utah they have a beaver liquors

 

Is that the same thing as white gas? Some version of unrefined cheap gas?

 

Dude...what does gasolie do?

 

White gas is kerosene.

 

I guess we now know where Michael Jackson's residence will be.

 

the Kum & Go in laramie WY would sell out of shirts and hats at the end of everyclass when students were graduating from Wyotech.

also, not a gas station but in atascadero ca there is a sign infront of a gas station for the quicky lube behind the gas staion. all the sign reads is....

"QUICK LUBE IN REAR"

 

Back in the 80's and 90's there was a gas station in Pismo Beach, Ca. called Fast Gas and the sign was just above the Mexican Food sign on the Mexican restaurant next door and if you drove south on 101 it read "Fast Gas Mexican Food"
I don't think either one is still there with those names.

Around my home town we have station named "The Store" and another one named "The Other Store."

 

on the island there was a place....gashole.... and another gas a terreia

 

We had "TOOT -n- MOO" in Longmont Co. when I was a kid.
You could pull up and hit your horn and they would run out with a gallon of milk for you.

Best one was a video rental place in the 80s called FLICKS UNLIMITED. I always did a double take every time I drove past that one.

We have a chain of pool halls here in Austin called SLICK WILLIES.

 

What about tire shops?

I've driven by this place a few times.

Well we got a string of filling stations operated by the Oneida Indian Nation called SAV-ON like their 2 cents off a gallon is a big deal.

Down the road there is a restaurant on Rt 20 in Central NY called the Squat and Gobble.

And my favorite is a dentist office in the Poconos somewhere operated by DDS

Yancom and Hertz.

 

Again not gas stations but without a doubt two of the funniest ones I've ever seen:

Just outside of Honolulu Hawaii we came across an old Metro walk-in van painted bright orange and yellow and a sign on the front that said:"Pancho Goldstein's Taco Stand" Hard to picture an expatriate Mexican-Jew selling tacos in Hawaii.

not a gas station, but a funny sign,,,,

there was a mcdonalds sign that said "LOSERS WANTED $6.00/hr"

it was supposed to say "CLOSERS WANTED $6.00/hr", but the letter C had fallen off..
