Yes, we do! It's up to you. One has to make your own real fun, it cannot be bought, you can't buy a ticket, you have to make your own.

    That's too cool!

Speaking of cool, does anyone want to stage one of these in Phoenix?

Well I might be driving to Palmsprings this weekend to score a mini bike off of craigslist.

If the cops stop you will they take your bike or just give you some kind of citation?..........oh fuck it who cares. GAME ON!

I guess... it is for charity. However, riding these bikes on the street is illegal, so you takes your chances!

If the man takes your minibike you'll never get it back, there's no v.i.n. on em. The tow yards are full of old mini bikes cause they can't auction them off, cuz theres no vin.

Don't bring your good mini bike. build crap that you don't care if it gets snatched by the fuzz, man.

Or hit your buddy up who owns a tow yard and see if you can borrow one off the lot.

That thing sounds like a blast. I grew up riding my bicycle around that park. I'm really tempted to do this thing.

Just a quick recap: I think we had 18 bikes. Some people chickened out, forgot, or slept in. Perhaps more next time. Two blowouts, one hospitalization, many skinned knees, a few muffler burns, a couple blood knuckels, a couple runs ins with the law. No one was busted, some bikes did not make the trip, some racers lost their cool. Countles smiles and looks of amazement, some puzzled faces and of course, a few angry faces out there as we tore across the valley.

Please plan another one! I have two Taco 22's ready to go. I want to get skinned knees, exhaust pipe burns, bloody knuckles and my pants caught in the clutch. All of this will flash me back to my youth. I had a great childhood doing all that and more. I grew up with a big church parking lot right next to my house. Check out this picture my mom took when I was 9 years old! ( April 1970 ) I still have all my minibike guide magazines. I had a cool leather vest with fringe on the bottom and my parents made me use my football helmet after watching me ride! I will be at the next one for sure.

We had checkpoints, you had to go to wendy's and get a childs milkshake, to kfc and get a biscut, 7-11 and get a laffy taffy etc. and you had to get recipts. We had 8 groups of two bikes and riders each, we had 2 groups have only 1 bike finish, one that one rider towed the other to the end, one both went to hospital (only one hurt, guy/girlfriend) and one group that missed all the check points and ran straight to the end. So we had had 3 groups that completed the race and one that completed but missed a few checkpoints. Some stuff was not open till 9 or 10 so you had to wait or back track all over the place, it was wild!
