Floyd Dixon, singer and jump-blues pianist died July 27, from cancer at age 77. Originally from Marshall, Texas, he was a huge influence in the Los Angeles music scene in the 1940s, 50s and 60s. Among his many hits and great songs, he was most noted for "Hey Bartender" which was later covered by the "Blues Brothers".
