O/T car but possible potential???

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by VirgilHilts, Sep 29, 2006.

  1. I have a chance to buy a 1971 Meteor ( think Monterey body). This thing has major lead sled potential IMO. I know it's not a traditional year but I think the body style just says low down custom. Opinions anyone? Here's a brochure pic of it. Stu

Too late for what's going on here. But I think there is at least one forum around that you could discuss it on - don't remember the name though.

I thought the same thing 50Fraud, too late for this board, but VERY similar to Ryan's editorial on those big ol sleds.

I swear I dont understand this place at times. I think it would be awsome. Use traditional methods and cut it up beyond recognition and call it a 60 Wolverhissle. That thing smoothed and cut up would look as cool as any sled if done right. Tuck and roll interior old 50s stering wheel and everthing. I think it would be bad ass and if you like it thats all that maters

  7. Thanks for the input and the links guys, I've seen that Poncho before. That is kind of the idea I had in mind. I think if I hide the headlights ( car needs a new grill anyway) possibly rake the grille back etc. Anyway I won't waste BW here but I appreciate the input. For $300 Can. I may try to save this old girl. I spoke to the owner today and he is pretty cool and a car guy and wants someone to save it as his Dad bought it new. Even he said it was a good lead sled material. 351W runs strong he says. Stu

For $300, unless it's a total rat, how can you miss?
