'nother dang whitewall question

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by cool57, Sep 29, 2006.

  1. I'm fully informed on where to buy WIDEwhites and how to fab homemade ones. BUT, does any one know if there are any regular production 17" or 18" whitewalls of any width available at the corner tire store?

What do you mean by regular production? Just the skinny stripe kind? Vogue makes 16" and 17" (possibly 18's, but I've never seen any) in a pinner white that can be bought at many good tire stores. They'd be the sizes to fit modern wheels, you see them on Cadillacs and high end Buick cars once in a while. The corner tire store isn't going to handle those.

Of course Coker makes 17" tires for the early cars, I need a set for my Chevy artilleries.
