According to the instructions, it works with both 6-volt and 12-volt vehicles.

A key lock keeps the radio secure in the under-dash mounting box--turn the key, and you can pull the radio out of the vehicle and play it at your picnic, camp sight or whatever.

Also comes with an NOS antenna.
