Yesterday's Reliability Run was great fun...Thanks to Dave (Redbeard) for putting the whole thing together. No idea how he comes up with these routes or destinations, but I suspect it has something to do with a blindfold, a map, and a handful of darts.

I'll start this thread off with some pictures I took yesterday. Post 'em if you've got 'em...

Well we have another run under our belts . This was a great time as always. We all were given a page for directions but you know how it goes, that requires reading. Kinda like building models when you were a kid, the pictures were all we needed , right ?? So needless to say there were some wrong turns , back tracking and confusion but we all prevailed in the end and found our way. I was the leader for a smaller group at the back of the pack at one point and we made a few wrong turns and had everyone turning around and going every which way . Sorry about that for everyone in our pack .I felt bad about that . It was all for fun and we had a great time . Thank you very much Dave( Redbeard) and Marissa(spelling??) for all the effort to put these runs together. I will post the pics I have . I played with the sepia mode on my cheap camera so take the good with the bad .

    Enjoy !!!

Anybody remember these two? The chick was yelling at us to get over on our own side of the road. I'm sorry, but as a matter of fact, I do own the whole damn road! :p

  22. Love the colour pic from post 4 pic number 3 - it looks like a "Paradise Road" scene from American Graffitti

I gotta say that I love that deuce five window with cad motor! Thing looks like its right outta the early fifties. The single carb and the cut off frame horns are period perfect. JohnnyA

Man that looks like fun - thanks guys for posting the photos of a great day. We were around there scoping out the area from the delta - Brentwood and north to wine country up to Healdsburg and Cloverdale just a few weeks ago. Hoping to move to NorCal as soon as my house sells - can't wait....

Yeah buddy! It's a little rough around the edges but its got personality. The single carb caddy motor does it for me. Not every motor had triple carbs, finned valve covers and lake pipes back in the day. A stock 331 would be an incredible horsepower increase over a flatty. I'm also a sucker for cut off frame horns. Can't believe that I missed this one!!!!!! Mike S, you told me that it happened last month :(. Shoot, that's it, I'm driving my deuce up to Nor-Cal and leaving it with Cyclone Bob & Ian, so I can just get up there over a weekend and save the wear and tear on my body so I can get worn out driving the 150mi route=:).

Hey Floorboardinit, thanks for the kudos on my 5-window! I appreciate the nod considering all the beautiful "shinny" cars there! Daves runs are an absolute blast! Having been on most of them as a passenger, this was my first one driving the "new" car! Except for a flat tire right out of Antioch she ran flawless. Thanks again and thanks again to Dave for putting these runs on!!
