Hats off to you folks, very few people have the stones to even think about going on an adventure like that.

One of the most outstanding posts that's been on HAMB in a long time !! Loved reading thru your posts and enjoying the trip with you, Bob. Kinda like riding shotgun with you and I can't think of a better traveling companion.

Sorry about not stopping Jeff, it was 11:30 and we were tired and wanted to get home.

I sprained my ankle last night so maybe even B'ville might be up in the air.
Glad you and Jen enjoyed the trip, we sure had a lot of fun and some adventures also.

Bob and Maggie, I am glad, as everyone is, that you made the trip safe and sound. The problems just give you something to talk about around the campfire. Have been to many of the places you visited, it brought back many memories. Rest up, you ain't no spring chicken anymore, then fix the car and go do it again, we will all go with you then too!

Is there anything you would do different to your ride if you were to do the trip again?

It's good A, I've been wearing a mini air splint but I hardly even notice that it's there, just a precautionairy measure cause I'm old ya know.

See ya in the salt, we are at the motel 6

  27. Just crossed back down into the lower 48. The boat stopped in Skagway and I had a Spruce Tip Blonde when I got off the train. "Cheers", Bob! .
The 57 is running strong. I should be home in NYC in a week. We'll share stories later

I was thinking about you and this trip when me and the wife took a wrong turn in Colorado on the way home from Bonneville. Started out not so bad, got ugly, then we were too scared to take pictures. Guess 4.5 inches of clearance isn't enough for this road. Guess we needed a 52 Chevy. We met some locals up further and they were wondering how we got up that far. Then they told us the next creek crossing was 2 feet deep. We turned around. Ha.
