See, I don't see that as "dumb". I see that as "uninformed" and offers you a chance to teach her about your interest. Dumb is a loudmouth know it all who insists on informing everyone within earshot how much he knows about your car.

 

I broke down in my Merc once. Waiting for the flatbed, a guy walks up and says, "Nice Hudson!" I said, It's not a Hudson it's a '49 Mercury. He says, I know a Hudson when I see one. I told him, You must be blind then, cause it's not a Hudson. Don't you think I know what my OWN car is? Idiot....

Talking cars with guy at work the other night. He says an uncle has a '32 Model A. I say that's a very rare car. He says yeah it is. I said it is rare cause it doesn't exist. '31 was last year for Model As. Then shows me a picture. Turns out it is a Model T fordor.
