Nice weekend to chop a 34 5 window coupe.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Kiwi Kev, Nov 14, 2009.

  1. That looks great ! Way to go Kev !

  2. The windshield opening is tacked together but the front corners need alot of work yet. That and the door tops will be my projects tomorrow. I have Mondays off.

Totally killer, I've subscribed so it can be used as reference for the chop on my '40 pick-up.
I hope you will post the rest of the build as well

Looks awesome Kev! Thanks for taking the time to do the photos. I know it must be a pain to stop right in the middle of the battle. But it's better than an episode of Nip Tuck.

  17. A few questions to answer....

Fogger.....This car is being built for the street but it will be SCTA legal so he can run at El Mirage for fun later.

Hot Rod Ron.....The baby blue body is done basically the same. It still sits in my yard tacked together, sort of. I hope to get to it one day. There are a few projects in line before it though.

Curbspeed......See you at the Roadster Show?

Hot Rod Micky.....Radius rods came on the chassis from Kiwi Konnection.

I'd bettter get to work, another beautiful sunny day out there.:D

I'm in love!!! Engine set back and a heavy chopped 34 body??? It's like you stepped in my head and raped my deepest and most inner thoughts!!!

Oh and Kev, you must a have more restraint then most to have a tacked together 34 sitting in your yard and not have the need to finish it before anything else.....oh wait, you have a Willys too.

  28. Had a pretty productive day. I hoped to get both front corners and door tops tacked together but only got one door tacked and 1 1/2 corners. Sure is time consuming. 3 days and we're still fitting and tacking. Having alot of fun though!

Amazing. Down here in Australia I'm waiting eagerly for the next installment. I only wish it was a 32 5 window that we were watching so I could follow along. Still, watching you put this puzzle back together is amazing. I think "how's he going to fix that?!" and when you do it I say "Of course!". Priceless.

If someone has a link to a thread similar (and detailed) like this that deals with the 32 5w please PM me. I've been searching for weeks and found nothing so far.
