My name is Jerry Bass and I'm a retired Waco firefighter. Been into old cars since I was 14, when I got my first 36 Ford. Me and my wife, Barbara go to as many car shows, rod runs, swap meets and drags as we can fit into our schedule.:D Been lurkin for awhile and thought it was about time to give my 2 cents worth. Really enjoy reading the HAMB and have many friends who are already signed up, including our son Brian:cool: . We have a 66 Chevelle SS396 and a 36 Ford 5 window coupe. Our current project is a 55 Buick Super 2 dr. hrdtp, that I bought for my wife. Some of you may remember her racing the 36 at Temple Academy HAMB drags. Gonna be a mild custom/daily driver for her. :) Looking forward to meeting some more HAMBERS and good times at HAMB events.:D

Well, any Dad of Bass's is a Dad of mi...... well, you know what I mean. Glad to have you on here.

Oh, and that print is really small. Not sure how ya did that. But if you go into "advanced", you can change the text size. Right next to the style of font box, there is a dropdown box of text sizes. Does that make sense?

    I didn't know Bass had a father... ;)

That is an impressive set of cars, in particular the '36. What plans do you have for that nice Buick?

The Buick is not as good as the picture looks. Have to do some rust repair. Haven't decided on a motor. It has the 322 nailhead, but I also have a 71 Buick 455 and turbo 400 I am considering. Planning on shaving the hood, trunk, frenching the headlites, and maybe a 54 Chev grille. Also have a Continental kit, but haven't decided on that yet. Will be black and white or red and black.......shiney or satin???......only time will tell. Both the other cars were built in our shop at home, but did have some help on the 36 frame from Big Rick......and some striping by Bass.

Django.....mine is the first pic, with the red interior. I saw your car there too, and took some pics of it. If mine had looked as good as yours I would not have painted it. Mine was a reject (in pieces) from a 36 Ford collector in Waco,TX who has about 40 of them...even has a restored 36 Ford hearse waiting to carry him on his last ride, and has his own museum. A friend of mine keeps them all running.
