Hi all, working on my 53 and noticed the a arms, ball joints and four link components were left loose by fabricator. Ihave just finished plumbing the air ride.... Shockwaves up front and bags in back. My question is, do i air up the bags before tightening the suspension or can i just get under there and tighten everything.? Im not sure if theres a specific procedure for tightening everything. Thank you.

I would just tightened every thing down. I don't think it matters if its aired up or not.

post a pic of your ride and suspension. so, was the builder someone that did work for you or bought it this way? usually ball joints are tightened down during install. then A-arms, sway bars, etc tightened after wheels on the ground with full weight of complete ride.

Shouldn't all that stuff be tightened down in the neutral position of each components travel?

Edit: Jalopy Joker said it better.

J.J.... It was a project previously started and i bought it with most fab work done. I forgot to mention it has a manual rack installed too. The previous owner said to tighten everything while at ride height with weight of car on suspension, then install the panhard bar. It sounds right to me but i was hoping to verify that here. Cam is charging and ill get some pics soon. Thanks again
