Hey, My name name is Jake. I've been checking out this site for a while, but wanted to get a good start on my rod before I posted an intro. I'm from Grand Rapids, MI. I'm 31, married, and have a 4 year old daughter. Working in the shop is all I do according to my wife. I think she's right! Ever since I can remember I've been tearing apart or building something from dirt bikes, race cars w/ my dad, VW's, to...don't hate me..mini trucks. In the last year or so my passion has turned to hot rods, particularly the traditional style. I currently own a 1933 Ford Pickup and a 94 Suburban which has been featured in a few magazines. I have met a few of you along the way at such shows as Paso, Kalamazoo, and a few others. I have attached a few pics of the 33. The cab was in rough shape when I got it. I fabricated everything myself and I just finished building the frame. Although I know it's not your thing I've also attached a picture of my Suburban. Take care.
Holy crap! Someone stole the suspension out from under that amusement park ride that used to be a truck! Welcome to the HAMB dude. That is a nice '33 and you've obviously done a lot of good work with it. Keep us posted on its progress. Have fun on the HAMB, Big Daddy Eric
I know of this guy and have seen his trucks over the years. He knows how to build stuff. He should fit in here great. Welcome
Very nice intro, the way it should be done. Lots of info, including photos, I'm impressed. From one Michigander to another, welcome to the HAMB bud.
Welcome...! Hope to see you at the "Hunnert Car Pile Up"..., located just around the corner from where you live!!!
Welcome. Your screen name gives me a headache, but I'll get over it. I am building a '32 pickup, late 40s-style. Mine will look like a 4x4 next to yours. But your's looks cool and people here will dig it. Looks like you know what you're doing, so keep us posted with updates.
