Newbie from SoCal

Hi All!
I have been reading on this forum off and on for a year. Great amount of information. I do have a quick question. I have a stock 31 Model A that I want to convert over to a V8 Flathead and juiced brakes. I want to keep the stock type look with the fenders on. I have come across a complete 1946 Ford rear end rather cheap. Will this rear end fit in a Model A? Or is it a better option to get a 8" or 9" rear to use? I figure better to ask this question before I make a purchase I am unable to use or that is not a good option.
