I am not new to the HAMB as far as looking at it and perusing it, but I AM new to posting and message boards in general, never even been in a chat room, unless sitting w/your aunts and mom in the dining room after dinner listening to gossip counts? Anyhoo...I grew up in and around cars, when i was old enough to reach the pedals of a car i was holding/releasing the brake on a race car to get it off the trailer. My old man was Ray Evernham's(Hendricks Racing Fame now) crew chief growing up, so as long as i can remember, I liked really loud, really fast and really obnoxious... I was raised by all the moms in turn 4 of Wall Stadium raceway and when i was old enough (legally) i started drag racing. Spent a lot of years away from cars raising kids, getting married and basically playing w/Harleys. I have played w/a few old trucks and station wagon but mostly been quiet. Well recently got a 1966 Caddy for a good price and in pretty damn good shape so now I want to go the custom route w/this car.

I dont wanna go full on or high end, just want decent body work, mild kustom and some nice striping and flames,....im thinking lowering (eventually bagging), shave the handles and put in poppers, remove the vinyl top and put a wild flake paint job on the roof,(white pearl) paint the car black and have some 6' flames go all the way down the car at the top of the fender. I wanna go w/'57 Caddy hubcaps w/bullet center caps and wide whitewalls and lake pipes down the sides (if i dont go the flame thrower route, my kids love FIYAH! lol) Looking to all the advice and knowledge i can get from HAMB'ers. a few things I have learned from all my years around cars and race tracks, you never know enough, old guys usually know there sh*t, u cant learn it in a book and help those around you and they will help you.....

Nice intro and pictures, love the Caddy but we do have a 1964 cutoff for cars..... Your Cad is therefore off topic. One of the reasons I joined this forum was the cutoff date, I've never been into newer cars like years and I wanted to be in a like minded community, nothing against your caddy, just trying to stay true to what the forum is really all about!

Not for nothing, I AM new to this and any message board and trying to figure it all out but I am not pc illiterate and I saw the rules I had to agree w/when I joined, ie; no porn, no foul language etc. I poked around and still haven't seen anything about an age cutoff for cars. Its cool tho I'm car guy, not a years guy.
