Well, it could be a ride with a little tlc. Picked this up today for $760. I'm thinking maybe a straight axle and a two door conversion is in order hear, along with a motor with a ridiculous amount of ass behind it. All that will have to wait for some more funds to become available though. I'm all out of stuff to sell to buy more stuff. Oh, and it was right down the road from where my parents live.
Dang, that thing looks solid...'specially for MI. I don't know that I'd bother making it a 2dr if you're going the gasser look. I just got this one home last Sunday, also just "down the road". I had thought about a gasser but decided to go the custom route. Keep us posted on your progress.
dont fix or change a thing. Just drive the living shit out of it. Anybody can say they fixed up a car, but driving the living shit out of it will make you the undisputed hero to all the "drive it" fans on this board.
Paint it yellow, put a meter in it and make some $ driving the drunks home from the rockabilly bar...
Somehow I am sick to death of finished '55's ,but I love a good "natural" state '55. They are one of the best 4 doors ever. I grew up riding around in a '55 4 door. My folks had one, all my brothers drove it to high school, one brother bought both a two door and a four door. Got to love em! Rodshop
