I’ve been a H.A.M.B. reader for several years now and long overdue to register. Got interested in cars at an early age. My mom purchased for me my first Hot Rod magazine in February 1966 when I was 8 years old. This required some considerable begging. I was really into model cars as a kid. After high school I started doing autobody and paint work. Most of the time I worked on Hot Rods and Street Machines. Met my wife at a car show. Back then she drove a 1957 Chevrolet and I had a 1971 Dodge Challenger convertible. I later started working at my father-in-law’s auto trim shop. He was a very well-known custom upholsterer. I am now retired and have a keen interest in hot rod and custom car history.
