As Brian stated above, it's been a long busy summer. The problem is, it's been busy on other people stuff and not my own. Anyway I sent the fuel tank model out to Tom Hanna in June to be built and got it back in September. All I can say is WOW, it turned out beautiful. 13.5 gallons of perfection. Corey Conyers, Hanna's right hand man built it to Tom's specs as far as mounting and vented cap. Needless to say this has lit a fire under my ass to get back on this project. Next is saving for a billet crank and aluminum rods. mean while I'll start mounting the tank, body and all the little things that take days to fab up.

Tim, those body panels on the bench are for the "Honda of Wilmington" Danny Ongias dragster that Hanna owns, not my car. I wish.

My Older brother Ron always said , "When business interferes with pleasure cut out the business."
I did 15 years ago.(he is still working??)
Anyway, Wonderful job on that tank! I hope you find some time this winter.

Tim. I have heard of Jack Ostrander, but I can't place him. Dolmetsch, without the business there is no dough to do this shit. It'll be a long winter, so building dragster will work out good, and that will be the time to cash in on all my friends for the time I spent on their junk this summer. Quality time in the shop.

Strange---- Pete Eastwood has documented and owns the H of W dragster chassie and most of the parts to put it together.

Jack Ostrander was the driver of the the Guzzler Blown Fuel Hydro drag boat from about the early 70's until about 1980 after he wrecked at Columbiaville, Mich. Then it was Top Fuel dragsters until a few years ago. Now he is into street rods and has a car show at the 300 Bowl outside Pontiac, Mich once every summer.

Right you are Matt, I worked on his top fuel cars in the late 80's and early 90's , we watched video of his hydro crash in the motel one night , Jack said when he finally woke up he told the nurse he needed a beer, Great guy to work for, Tim Jones
