New guy, starting 23 T build.

New to the site, although I have visited in the past. I'm in Pearland, TX and since my flathead trans and torque tube was stolen, shifting to 2x4 283 with powerglide. I have dropped model A axle and 48 Ford front brakes with 16" Ford wire wheels. I would like to run 8" Ford rear with Model A spring, but I don't recall seeing any small Ford rears "back in the day" is this straying too far? Finally I have the time to build and don't want to come up wrong. lots of great info here. Grateful for any guidance
