new guy here with a question

    Hey guys and gals Iam new here just wanted to say hey to everyone my name is charlie and Iam from cincinnati I recently bought a 49'ford to replace my missing 54'chevy, heres my question though anyone here know if a Y-block will fit in the stock frame with the way the front crossmember is set up Ive seen shoe boxes with them but dont know if they had been clipped or not please some one help I refuse to put a chevy in it and I want an ohv engine it, hope someone knows.

    the 54 was stolen, the only good part was I had not finished it yet so I did not loose that much. but I lost enough to piss me off

    I have a little mag from like 57 or 58 that shows that swap. Lemme go flip thru em, BRB.

    Found it. August 1956 Car Craft. Pretty interesting, actually. State of the art 1956 technology. Let me know if you want me to scan it.

    Thanks Fraz, If you could scan it, that would be great, Ive heard it would work but when I started looking at it I started changing my mind on it.
     
  8. hmmm i dunno if the y block wil fit for sure but i know a 302 would my buddy is puttin a 302 in his 50 so umm yeah.
