Hi...I've been a lurker for a short time and decided it was time to introduce myself. My name is Tom and I am from the central part of WI. I've been into cars, bikes sleds my whole life, and have built a number of projects over the years. I have found that I love to try and do all my own work, and have been for the most part self-taught. I like nothing more than building something and being able to take credit for it, and if it turns out like crap, building it again. Current project is a '69 Mustang...I hate the term restomod, so I really don't know what to call it......Car will be a gutted coupe with all aluminum interior panels, aftermarket seats, custom dash (not sure what I will build on this), toploader, old school solid lifter 289 with 302 rotating assem, '93 GT40 ported heads, old Torker 289 intake, old long tube headers...wheels will be 15" TTD (not 17,18", etc)...paint will be SEM Hot Rod black with glass pin on hood..... I also have a '38 Chev half ton that has had several different lives (currently in storage to decide what to do to it next)....I've bought and sold several engines for this since I have owned it (since the late '70s). But now I'm am finalizing plans to build a gasser from it.....maybe....I tried to sell it a few years back, but my wife would not hear of it.... I have a good looking gearhead wife, and a 17YO son also into cars, we built him a '90 Mustang LX 5.0 with a lot of cool touches, and painted it bright yellow that the young chiks seem to dig...good for him... Anyway, that's me.....hope to talk to know some of you soon....if the Computor Nazi at work doesn't block me, I'll be on here more often... Tom
You need to get to work on that '38! I'm from northern WI and glad to have all these WI HAMB members to call friends.
